Philippines Passport Requirements

Philippines Passport Application Requirements

Requirements: for getting a Philippines Passport?

You must be a Philippines Citizen.

To get a Philippine passport, the applicant must be a citizen of the Republic of the Philippines. Those who have dual citizenship between the Philippines and another nation are entitled to a Philippine passport.

Former Filipino nationals who are naturalized citizens of another country are not allowed to have a Philippine passport anymore. Along with citizenship, there are numerous other requirements to obtaining a Philippine passport.

First-Time Applicants

Filipino citizens who are over 18 years of age must appear at the Department of Foreign Affairs office to submit their application form. Along with the application form, they are required to bring a birth certificate in security paper issued by the National Statistics Office (NSO) or a Certified True Copy of their birth certificate that was issued by the local civil registrar that was authenticated by the NSO. They must also have three coloured ID-sized photos of their face, set against a royal blue background. Minors (those who are under 18 years of age) must bring all the above documents and must make the appearance with either parent. If the child is illegitimate, he must appear with his  birth-mother.

Married Women First-Time Applicants
